Teeth Cleaning

Teeth cleaning Sydney is very important and everyone should be brushing their teeth at least twice a day and floss once daily. Teeth cleaning can reduce your chance of having decay, cavities and gum disease.

So with that in mind, it is important to see your dentist for a 6 monthly regular scale and clean. During this routine check up and clean the dentist is able to use their special dental equipment to remove any plaque and tartar where regular toothbrushes can’t.

The dentist is able to perform a physical examination to check, monitor and pick up any signs of oral health problems. With early detection on oral health problems, the dentist will be able to treat the issue and avoid any major dental work or even tooth extraction.

Bringing Your Little Ones To The Dentist

At Parramatta Dentistry we recommend to start bringing your little ones as early as their first tooth. Our experienced dentists and oral health therapists with our children’s dentistry will be able to provide tips and guidelines to help your little ones in achieving good dental habits.

With early understanding of a routine check up, teeth cleaning or any dental treatment should not be a scary or painful experience.

At Parramatta Dentistry we believe that affordable dentistry should be for everyone and so if you have private health insurance with dental extras, dental cleaning with us is no gap. This means there is no out of pocket fee from the patients. However patients must remember to bring their private health insurance card for this no gap service.

Otherwise they will have to pay upfront and claim from their private health insurance themselves.

If you do not have private health insurance, our routine dental cleaning cost is still at a competitive rate of $199. This includes the examination, scale, clean and fluoride to ensure that your teeth and gums are healthy.

Periodontal Cleans

If you have periodontal disease which is a type of gum disease that can destroy your jawbone, more frequent cleans is needed. The dentist in Parramatta or oral health therapist will give you a treatment plan and you may be required to come in every 3 months instead of 6 months.

Your 6 monthly routine cleans will be no gap if you have private health insurance. However the 3 monthly periodontal cleans will have a fee depending on the number of teeth which requires a deep clean.

The item number for periodontal clean is 222 and for some private health insurance it is considered to be under major dental. To know how much you will be out of pocket for your periodontal cleans, it is best to take the treatment plan to the private health insurance. They will be able to inform the patient the exact fee they are able to claim and the amount out of pocket on the day.
