Invisalign and Clear Aligners: Explore treatment

At Parramatta Dentistry | Cosmetique Dental, we help you compare options, the dental work involved and ongoing care. Your first step can be a consultation, even if you have not chosen a treatment.

You do not need to know the name of a procedure before contacting us. Tell us which tooth or area you are concerned about and what matters in your decision.

Your dentist will check your teeth, gums, bite and existing restorations, then explain relevant alternatives. That may include addressing a dental health issue first, choosing a limited treatment or leaving healthy teeth unchanged.

A dental crown covers a tooth when a more limited repair may not provide enough support. Your dentist will assess the tooth before explaining suitable restorative options.

Discuss the material, preparation, expected appearance and maintenance. A crown is not recommended solely because other cosmetic treatment costs less.

Professional whitening may lighten natural teeth after the cause of discolouration and your oral health are assessed. Options include supervised take-home and in-chair treatment.

Whitening does not lighten crowns, veneers or fillings. Sensitivity, gum irritation and uneven colour changes are possible.

Small changes to the edges or shape of selected teeth may sometimes be considered. Removing enamel is irreversible, and the amount that can be altered is limited.

Contouring does not move teeth like orthodontic treatment. Ask your dentist whether it is appropriate and what alternatives could address your concern.

Tooth-coloured resin can be applied to repair or alter selected areas of a tooth. Your dentist will assess the tooth and bite before discussing the proposed change.

Composite can stain, chip or wear and may need polishing, repair or replacement. It is not a lifetime restoration.

Porcelain and composite veneers may be considered for selected changes to tooth shape, shade or edges. They differ in preparation, treatment stages, maintenance and fees.

Porcelain veneers usually require irreversible enamel removal. Composite may need less preparation in some cases, but neither approach is suitable for everyone. Book a free veneer consultation to compare the options for your teeth.

New and existing patients can request a free consultation for veneers, implants or Invisalign and clear aligners. Scans, photographs and X-rays may be included where clinically necessary. Call (02) 8090 1109 to arrange a visit at our Hunter Street practice. Other appointment types may have a fee.

Ask for a written plan explaining treatment, maintenance and any additional costs. Humm is an external payment-plan provider, subject to eligibility, approval, fees and terms.
